Let’s direct our energy and skills towards making the Boca Raton 2016 convention a memorable experience for all. This is an ideal opportunity to get involved and give back to our Iyengar Yoga community through service.
We will work with you to find a convenient time to volunteer before, during, or after the events, and help with tasks in a variety of areas, some of which are listed below. Both attendees and non-attendees are welcome.
|Onsite Registration||Welcome and check in attendees.|
|Set-up and Strike-Down||Set up and take down rooms, signs, tables, exhibits, etc.|
|Information Desk||Be the welcoming face of the conference/convention. Direct attendees and answer questions.|
|Props||Assist with transportation and delivery of props before, during and after the event. Assemble prop kits.|
|Classroom Monitoring||Check students into class. You may be a student in any class you monitor.|
|Venue Monitoring||Give directions and information. Monitor hallways and areas outside classrooms.|
|Storage Security||Secure prop and shoe areas.|
|Sponsorship||Distribute flyers to local businesses. Discuss sponsorship levels.|
|Store||Help with set-up and take-down. Staff the store (3-4 hours when open). Provide general assistance to vendors.|
|Archives and Film Rooms||Assist with set-up and take-down. Help during open hours.|
|Willing to Work||Work wherever there’s a need for a volunteer.|
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the events, and earn the respect and gratitude of all who attend. All volunteers will receive a special t-shirt to wear and be recognized by while working at the convention.
